Lord Bafford's Manor Custom Edition Changelog
v3.1 – TDP compatible version. (August 17, 2008)
Thanks to darthsLair, this is a version of LBMCE that will work with Thief: The Dark Project.
The objectives were reworked for Dark Project – This is the only change.
v3.0 – 3rd release. (August 6, 2008)
Fixed Ambient Light - changed back to 0.08 **** This was pointed out by Phantom0914 on the TTLG forums.
Moved TrolPt for servant in kitchen – The patrolling is not perfect, but now he isn't practically “on top of” the block table.
Changed the map so that the servant in the kitchen will pause at certain points on his patrol.
Fixed a lever so that it will not show in Normal mode.
Modified manhole cover properties.
Fixed a door problem
Tweaked a female servant's properties – gave her a key
Fixed female servant not fleeing (doesn't always work, but it works better now)
Fixed lantern
Fixed a noticeable light not being properly mounted on a wall (“inside at last” room. Light 206) – This was something the LGS team did that bothered me. The player can notice the difference if stopping to take a look at this sort of thing, in vanilla LBM.
Fixed a noticeable electric wall light (256) not being properly mounted on a wall – This was something the LGS team did that bothered me. The player can notice the difference if stopping to take a look at this sort of thing, in vanilla LBM. There are of course more lights not mounted correctly, but I didn't feel like fixing every single light – The two I did were ones that I felt needed to be fixed.
Fixed drunk overweight guard from not becoming hostile when Garrett has a weapon ready. I also tweaked his properties a bit. He's a proper drunk now.
Removed unnecessary light from 2.0 release.
Changed stack count for something I added in the sewer.
Made a bottle unfrobable which is attached to a drunk guard (baff guard)
Made a bottle unfrobable which is attached to a drunk guard (bowman)
Made campfire disappear (and leave no light) by destroying it on normal
Added a second bafford guard in opposite hallway near servant quarters – see 1.0 changelog to see what I mean
New feature: Hobo now drops a piece of “firewood” on the fire. This is initiated via a boundstrigger.
New loot added! See loot.log - WARNING! This is a spoiler, but I included it for those that have no idea where the new loot is. Only look at it as a last resort! Don't say I didn't warn you!
I'll give you 1 hint: You may want to check in the streets.....
v2.0 – 2nd release. (August 18, 2007)
Added cosmetic effects (changed a texture here and there to make things look more seamless and more realistic. Those who don't pay much attention to detail won't know what I'm talking about. There should be some pictures to accompany this mission to show the changes.)
Added something (not saying what so that you can be surprised) in the sewers for your convenience in hard and expert difficulty modes. Should come in handy when on the second floor of the manor.
Servant in the kitchen now patrols in hard and expert difficulty modes to make things more interesting. He'll stop and fidget for a bit, and then continue on his patrol in the kitchen.
Added hobo in the back-streets for hard and expert
New light added for hard and expert so that player can see more clearly the manhole cover for the sewer. (only one of them, you'll see what I mean if you look around)
Made a manhole cover locked and unfrobable for all three difficulties. The only way to open and close it is through a lever.
Made a manhole cover locked and unfrobable for hard and expert difficulties. Accessible only by lever from the inside to open and close it. Added for extra difficulty. Or rather, less convenient for you to enter the sewer.
Fixed issue with a new door added in last release. I also fixed something that I probably broke (a door on the second floor)
Can't think of anything else, let me know if you see something new that i didn't mention haha....
v1.0 – Initial Release Aug 5, 2005
Added a Bafford Sergeant upstairs in the room with a fireplace near the tiled hallway that leads to the throne room (find out which difficulty he's in)
Added door in expert mode upstairs in the tiled area near the throne room. (It's that weird little side room that goes far down to the basement.)
Added a female servant (hard and expert) to the weird basement room near the throne room. There's a window in the basement where you can see her. (It's after those guards talk about getting better security)
Added Bafford archer on second floor, on pool balcony. (expert)
Added Bafford guard in a hallway near the servant's quarters... It's after you go up the stairs, but before you get into the main part of the building
Added a drunk overweight guard outside in the back streets. (Hard & Expert.)
Added a drunk archer that has a lantern near him in the back streets. He's only there on expert.
Added a guard in a room nearby the throne room.... It's a room with loot and there is a fireplace. If you look out one of the windows on the second floor by the way, you can see the overweight drunk guard.
I think that just about covers everything. :) Hope you enjoy the edited version of Bafford's manor. It's for the best for the most part, at least that's what I think. The main purpose of this was to make Lord Bafford's Manor more challenging and to improve upon the level I think. Bafford's manor has always been one of my favorite levels for some reason. It's just so cool.
